Strong partnerships are key to delivering high-quality, tailored solutions in today’s fast-paced and competitive marketplace. Leue Sensorics, a distributor specializing in mobile machinery applications, has found the perfect match in DIS Sensors. Their collaborative relationship highlights the power of close communication, mutual trust, and innovation. Here’s how this partnership has grown over time, benefiting both companies and their clients.

The partnership between Leue Sensorics and DIS Sensors began in 2009. The owner of Leue Sensorics, Wolfgang Leue, was searching for an inclination sensor that wasn’t available in their portfolio. He reached out to find a supplier with a fitting solution. After some searching, he came into contact with DIS Sensors, who had the right products for the job. DIS Sensors saw an opportunity for collaboration and proposed that Leue Sensorics represent their products in North Germany. For two years Leue Sensorics handles the sales of DIS Sensors for all of Germany.

“We both want to win, that’s why our collaboration is
based on a transparent, open, and fair relationship.”

The secret ingredients to a successful collaboration

During a recent interview with Benjamin Dörge, manager of Leue Sensorics, an important insight emerged: the key to successful collaboration lies in innovative thinking and good communication.

Innovation

Benjamin Dörge emphasizes the importance of innovation and creativity in providing solutions. DIS Sensors has demonstrated its commitment to innovation by consistently offering both standard and custom-tailored products, including a major project where a sensor was designed from scratch to meet specific customer needs. Benjamin said: “One very interesting project with DIS Sensors was a big car washing machine manufacturer in Germany. All German sensor distributors were in contact with them. The owner of Leue Sensorics, Wolfgang Leue, came in contact with the car washing manufacturer at an SPS fair in Nuremberg. The company had an idea of making a sensor with a wheel running on the floor. Wolfgang remembered this very special sensor where the magnet was standing still and the sensor was rotating. That was a little bit of an inverted solution.”

“With this idea, he went to the customer and said: Okay, we can make a sensor with a wheel moving around it. And they started to make prototypes with DIS Sensors. In the end, the solution was a standard on-axis with an external magnet sensor something all German suppliers can do. The reason we got the order, is because together with DIS Sensors, we came up with a creative idea and our own concept.”

Communication

For Leue Sensorics, the relationship with their suppliers is built on trust and mutual support. Benjamin notes that the close communication between their teams has allowed them to address challenges and design solutions efficiently. “The trust and openness between us and DIS Sensors creates a strong foundation for solving problems quickly,” says Benjamin. This level of collaboration fosters long-term success, as both parties remain focused on providing high-quality, reliable solutions for clients.

One thing Leue Sensorics appreciates at DIS Sensors is the close contact they have. “We are not only in contact with the head of development. We are in contact with the technical employees, management and sales. So we are in close contact with everyone at DIS Sensors. Because of this close relationship, we often come up with a solution together.”

One team

Besides Leue Sensorics, the customers also benefit from the close relationship between them and DIS Sensors. Benjamin Dörge says: “Together, we go to customers often. When we are there, it’s like we speak one language. We have the same way of thinking and we are well prepared together. Sometimes the customer can’t imagine that we are not from the same company!”

The future for Leue Sensorics and DIS Sensors

Looking ahead, Leue Sensorics is excited about the future growth opportunities with DIS Sensors. Benjamin points out that the termination of their collaboration with another distributor has allowed them to focus more on rotary and inclination sensors, where DIS Sensors plays a critical role. The addition of CANbus compatibility in their sensor portfolio, an important feature for the mobile market, is a key area where both companies work closely to meet evolving customer demands.

As Leue Sensorics continues to expand its presence in Germany, they see a bright future ahead. The close working relationship with DIS Sensors not only supports their efforts to capture new projects but also strengthens their position as a trusted partner for clients. “We both want to win,” Dörge explains, “and that’s why our collaboration is based on a transparent, open, and fair relationship.”
