We have subdivided the frequently asked questions for acceleration sensors by category. If your question is not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Technically, all these sensors are made with acceleration chips that measure g-forces (gravitational forces), hence the 'G’ in the name. The gravitational force of the earth is a special form of g-force.
An inclination sensor measures the angle with respect to the horizon in which the imaginary line from the center of the earth serves as a reference. The tilt switch uses this line to switch when a certain angle is reached and the acceleration sensor measures g-forces such as the gravitational force in the direction in which the sensor is sensitive (1, 2, or 3 axes).
